How Grow 2Gether works
Five simple steps take a farm from first contact to clear, ongoing support.
From first visit to first soil result
What happens on every farm
1
An extension worker is appointed
Each farmer is matched with one extension worker, who agrees how often they will visit.
2
The worker visits and checks in
On arrival the worker checks in using their phone's location, then records what was done, the advice given and any problems raised.
3
The farm is mapped
The worker walks the edge of each plot. The farm's boundary and size are saved against that visit.
4
The soil is tested
Lab results are entered for the plot and shown to the farmer as green, amber and red signals.
5
Weather and advice follow
With the farm's location known, the farmer sees the local weather and gets advice that fits their land and the season.
Common questions
Why does the extension worker record their location?
It shows that the visit really took place on the farm. The record is a good-practice evidence trail for the farmer, and it is what buyers and certifiers look for.
How is my farm measured?
The worker walks around the edge of each plot, recording a position at each corner. The area is worked out from those points and saved with the visit.
What do the soil colours mean?
Green means the result is in the healthy range for the crop. Amber means it is outside the range and worth watching. Red means it is well outside the range and needs action.
Can I see what my extension worker has recorded?
Yes. Farmers can see their own visit history, including the advice given and any follow-up that was agreed.
